I hosted a road enthusiasts' meet in Kansas City on 22 May 2010. I didn't shoot many photos due to other photos taken earlier in planning the tour (see the February 2010 pages at the MO Photos page).
Meeting at Jack Stack Barbecue for lunch (1 photo)
First tour was along MO 150 to view construction between Grandview and Lee's Summit (3 photos)
From MO 150 we followed MO 291 north into downtown Lee's Summit, then followed 3rd Street, Blue Parkway, Colbern Road and I-470 to view two exit projects, then west on I-70 and US 40 to view a truss brisge over the Blue River (4 photos)
Oscar departed the tour after the bridge stop. The rest of us went to view Kansas City's Bridge to Nowhere, at I-70 and Benton. (5 photos)
After the "nowhere" bridge stop, we drove into downtown to take shots near the Paseo Bridge construction site (5 photos)
Downtown Tour(6 photos)
We returned to Jack Stack via what was our best guess on the current routing of US 169 in Wyandotte and Johnson counties (all signs between I-70 and I-435 are absent), then along 135th. The end of the tour came in plenty of time for that evening's Dread Zeppelin concert.
