On 29 November 2008 I stopped at the Locust Creek Covered Bridge enroute home from Milan. The bridge is in Linn County about 4 miles west of Laclede and 1 mile north of US 36. The bridge carried Route 8 in the 1920s, until US 36 was built in 1930. The course of Locust Creek changed after World War II, leaving the bridge over a dry bed. It is now a state historic site and part of the National Register of Historic Places.

The footbridge

Side shot from about 30m away

And from 10m away

And one on the other side by the entrance.

Some from the other end

Inside the far end, years of carved graffiti.

Views inside, lengthwise.
