This highway enters Missouri from Kansas on Interstate 70 and leaves I-70 at exit 1C. The exit centerline is 1.0 miles east of the state line. It is one of two non-Interstate highways on the Missouri side of the Kansas City metropolitan area that has distance markers (in this case 2/10 mile and referencing I-70 as mile 110.0). It is a multilane boulevard from I-70 to the Broadway Bridge, freeway to MO 152, expressway to the Cookingham Road exit, freeway to I-435, expressway to the Kansas City/Smithville city limit, then multilane street through Smithville. From Smithville to St. Joseph it is a 2-lane highway. This exit list will cover as far north as MO 92.
